we try to get our share of excitement and fresh air
(by The Perishers. one of my all-time fave song!)
Yes, I'm back to give a little update of happenings down under.
Saturday
Lancelin Dunes (yes, again) and Ciao Italia (never will I get sick of this place)
So Ben (Clar's bf) came over for a week and we decided that it is our duty to bring him around the beautiful land that is WA.

Woke up at the crack of dawn (10am isn't exactly crack.. but when it's study break and you have all the time to sleep in.. it is damn early) to head out for car rental and breakky.
As you can see, we were not what you would call happy.
But a perfect day awaits..

Driver. Haha.. look at her sweater. We're on a road trip to Tijuana! I wish...

We're dressed in
inverted colours! Pure coincidence, I might add.

And we've reached!
Not as fun as the previous time.. cause we couldn't find a suitable dune that's high enough. Almost all the high ones were taken by notorcross racers who were doing flips and stunts.. No way in hell were we going to sandboard amongst them.
But anyhoo.. had a great time trying to stand-board. Not so much landing on our asses.

Cool, no?

Coolest!

Everyone, minus Huiren, the photog.
After an hour's drive, it was back for dinner!
As usual, we waited for an hour before getting our seats and another 20 mins before we got our food! If you can not already tell from how preciously awesome the food at Ciao is (from how long we were willing to wait, despite standing in the cold outside.. and starving too!).. I have to tell you..
... it's freaking awesome.

And we all dug in..

Please ignore the background and focus your attention, instead, on the foreground where the best 'tiramisu' is depicted. It's the best 'tiramisu' I've ever tasted and will ever eat, thank you very much.
We looked pissed because Ben just said something damn lame.. and we were giving the look. But actually inside, we were all secretly laughing our heads off. Might I add.. Ben is one lame individual.. Seriously, this past week, we have been reduced to mere ice cubes, because he's just so lame! Clar, kudos to you for tahan-ing him for 2 years.. Heh
(Aye, but he's a nice guy la.. we all know that. Adds fun and laughter, peace and joy.. Clar, you got yourself a good man there.. =) )
Oh yes, on our way back from Lancelin, we saw this FULL rainbow!! From end to end leh! But it's a pity we couldn't get a photo of the entire rainbow. In the car, you see.

That's the best I could get.

And so vivid too! All seven colours were visible...
A perfect sight to the end of a perfect day.
Sunday
Swan Valley and Little Caesar's
Since we were too lazy to drive to Margaret River, Swan Valley was the next best thing.
But we had a little hiccup.
We couldn't find a place to have lunch!
See, it was Fathers' day on Sunday.. and everywhere was booked out! We scouted almost every restaurant before Lily of the Valley (yes, that's the name of the restaurant.. how cool is that!) opened up a table for us.
Lily of the Valley had an open garden concept, so basically, we were just sitting out in this enormous garden, enjoying the spring blooms and delish food!

Look how pretty!
This is just the entrance of the garden.
We just couldn't resist taking a ridiculous amount of pictures..
Joseph Gordon-Levitt guitar pose

Ballerina (eh.. not bad for non-dancers kay!) pose
And then individual shots.

Cool right!! Look like a sports ad for running shoes!

HAHAHAHA!!!!! Trying to imitate Haz but EPIC FAIL!
Oh my tian.. look at his face! We all couldn't stop laughing.

Yes.. don't we all wish we could jump and bend like this??
Then the food arrived.

Our first thought when we reached the restaurant was.. "
Don't you just want to get married here??"
It was the perfect set up.. spring is here, all the pretty flowers has bloomed.. perfect weather, adorable lawn furniture and even an aisle down the guest house!
(more pictures on FB)
Oh yes, food is awesome too. The chicken crepe with wild mushrooms and melted cheese.. and butter prawns!
And they had a cage of parrot-kids (is this how you spell)! Okay la.. only got two. But on the day of the wedding, one could open up the cage (with more of 'em little cute things) and release the nice birdies just as the bride is making her way down the aisle!!
The cutest picture of them both!

.. Aww??
Haha.. trying to imitate the cute couple. But, I've to say, this is rather cute too!
The rest of the day was spend driving to wineries, Mondo Nougat and Magaret River's Chocolate Factory..
I spent so much there, it's not even funny. Bah..
After that, it was back to Munduring for Little Caesar's. Italian pizza, again! But it was good food, so I shan't complain.

5 main pizzas and 2 dessert pizzas. So we all had 7 slices of pizza!
Maybe it's just me. I didn't really fancy the dessert pizza that much, too sweet and too weird! I think it is innovative of them to come up with dessert pizza (literally chocolate on the pizza base.. so it's like eating brownie on a pizza base), but some things should just be kept as it is.

Haz trying to act couple-y with Chin!

And that's our weekend. What an awesome way to start a study break.
(bah.. but now it's back to assignments and lab reports!)
Theme Dinner
Scream bloody murder! A mystery bloody murder...
So two wednesday ago, we had our theme dinner. And it was fun fun fun!

And... scary too.
Haz was the psychotic whore-hater/murderer..

.. I was the whore.. ('nuff said.. eh, but not literally, hor!)

Noe Zin the forensic scientist.

Funnily enough, having a beer with my murderer.
(BABY!!! I was wearing your christmas present for me!! *beams beams*)

Hmm.. is there really a need to decipher who the murderer is?
You want a piece of me??
You bet I do! Come here, skank!
Christine (the detective)
I spot a clue!

What's this??
The psycho pleading innocent and Daphne is actually the real murderer??
(haha.. clar poses as a really good question mark! And so strategically placed too!)

Spirit fingers!

Or is the murdered the real murderer??

... Highly unlikely.
So anyway, we won best-dressed, as a table.
Well deserved. Heh..
But we went all out, man, covered ourselves in 'blood' and frizzed our hair. Of course we deserved it! =)
Our prize??
Cluedo in Chocolate!

One with the backdrop.

So who
IS the murderer??

Daffy?

I guess we'll just have to accept that this murder will remain a mystery!
(Oh yes, Huiren was the whore's mom.. The mourner.)

HA! Innocent boy.
(christine looks like she's about to burn zee to death.. if only there was a ray of sunlight)

Was great fun..
We retired to the awesome-ness that is 'Scream' franchise.
My favourite horror/thriller of all time. Will never get sick of it! But turns out, only Haz and Daffy likes 'em as much as I do.
Whelps.
That was most of the more happenings of my recent happenings. OH yes, there's still Zee's PINK 22nd. Aye, next time la.
**Note to self: This is your 200th post!! (tsk tsk.. after, what, 6 years?!)
