Of Gold and Heart Attacks, then Death

As if last week's blow wasn't enough.. I think I could possibly have died that little bit more inside last night.
Skyping with home was awesome as always. Seeing everyone, albeit the laggy connection, and talking crap.. with daddy trying to feed me tea eggs and curry puff through the webcam. (stop tempting me! 40 more days and I can have all the local delights okay!) Fine and dandy, everything was until the second skype session started at 11pm.
It started off alright.. like watching with my folks back home. I almost felt back home, slouching on my couch, munching on tapioca chips and drinking opal-shiraz.
Then, 27th.. and 38th.
By then, I reckon I'd lost the will to breathe. But I still held on to the sliver of hope.
That sliver was stolen right from the second get-go and the rest of the night dove into a black abyss.
Cannot believe the first time I get to watch a life match from down under could end up in such a heartbreak! Meh..
No worries, there's always next year. (I just have to keep telling myself that)
I know I know... why so loserish, must watch soccer match through skype.. isn't the connection bad? And will be damn laggy? I'm too lazy to walk to the common room to watch.. and I don't wanna watch alone! That would be even more loserish. And I have my comfy bed and duvet and corner corner.. why on earth would I want to leave my awesome room, brave the cold and watch somewhere that's not comfortable at all?!
On happier news, took part in Volleyball Tertiary Sports last friday and UWA came in first!! Was quite a close final against Curtin (we owned then mostly.. but nerves got the better of us in the second set), but we came up tops. Actually like playing over here.. very enjoyable and pressure-free. All fun and game. Also played my favorite position, libero and had an awesome time. The medal that they handed out was a tad.. unfinished, though. There wasn't any carving at all.. like just a plain tertiary sports logo and a trophy. Whelps, at least we got honor and glory! Heh..
Now, off to the theories of Perception. No Sigmund Freud please..
