What do you do when you're completely owned?
Well, I just stood there gapping, opening and closing my mouth, struggling to say something that makes sense.
See, a few days ago, I was attending to this caucasian guy (rather cute, I might add). He came up to me and spoke in a really weird language that sounded strangely familiar. In my mind, I was thinking if he had just landed from Mars and was speaking in an international alien language, which he assumes us earthlings understand. Then he repeated himself and lo and behold, he was actually talking to me in perfect mandrian! Upon realisation of the mode of speech I have to use to converse with him, I teetered into my very shallow and un-used pool of chinese vocabulary. (one would ask why couldn't i simply talk to him in english..that's because he didn't seem to understand a word of english..believe me, I tried)
I almost spattered and died on the spot.
I believe the words that came out of my mouth (broken chinese and to make it worse, because I was so confused, broken english as well..), were far more alien than anything he would ever have said.
He left with a tight but still charming smile. Probably disappointed with the level of mother tongue singaporeans hold. Sorry fellow citizens, I've let you all down.
As if one chinese-conversing customer was not enough, the precise next one was a man of chinese nationality!
I died twice that day.
To make matters worse, Jesslyn Ng who was beside me couldn't contain the amusement, that I have managed to conjure up in the span of less than 5 minutes, was guffawing like a mad woman, thus sparking me off in generally the same direction. The next customer was so puzzled he asked, "Are you alright?"
I went on to explain that I suck at speaking mandrian..
"but I'm speaking to you in english!"
"yes..i meant the last 2 customers.."
If there was a 18-feet deep hole, I would have jumped right in and buried myself alive.
So kids... Chinese lessons are important!
Bangkok post coming up soonish!

Before I go..

After packing my Lugg and room, no i'm not going to bring my entire room to Bangkok along, I just could not leave without tidying up my room..it's a horrendous mess and I wouldn't feel at ease in Bangkok, here I am!
I don't feel that relieved though..knowing that I'm leaving with so much un-done and un-confirmed..still
...Yay-ness! Bangkok tmr with my thursday girlies!! I can predict it's going to be a fab-peppered-with-loads-of-bimbotic-moments time over there, seeing that BOTH Clarissa and Krystal will be there along with us. Zen and Michelle, we got to stick together man.
So yes, before I go off, I shall leave the deb-starved qin with a lil post/photolog..
Isaiah, I was just wondering how he would looked like with shades on..
Poor him, while he was shrouded with sudden darkness, fear and confusion striking him, my dad, sis and myself were laughing our heads off..
haha..still blur blur..
He's starting to look more like his elder-very handsome bro..
This is Isaac when he was less than a year old..
Looks like the then-still-blur-looking Isaac..so it means I'll have 2 very gorgeous nephews! And girls will be chasing after them both soon.. sighs.
Right..homemade ice-cream at the Shawhouse along beach road..Intro-ed by Kenneth. It's super good! I was having chocolate and salty caramel vanilla.
DINNER DATE WITH GIRLIES
At suntec's pizza hut, which has a really pleasant ambience, quiet and all. But our dear Krystal couldn't stand the absence of noise, so she started to create some of her own..her whiny own ones. Yup, wouldn't be the same without all that!
So extra!! So we skipped him and took one of our own..
Then headed to Swensen's
This was before we ordered.. Fake smiles, cause we were need a little bit of sugar rush!
I'm highly amazed and amused by their ability to take such classic impromtu pictures..
What to do next??
Hear Krystal whine? Zen disapproves..
Take more pictures? Yes!
Ah haha.. we all looked pissed at her..
Water is good for you!
Ah.. love is right there. in the air.
"I think the bunny ears look nice like that..right there to block my face. Now give me the camera and stop snapping pictures!!"
"No, honey, it looks nicer right about here.."
And the ice-cream arrives!
An attempt to tie the cherry-stalk knot.
They are special like that.
HAJI LANE
The meal was fab..and I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes meat. It's this quaint lil place called cafe something..I don't remember..
Even their blackcurrent-lemon flavoured tea was heavenly..
MmmmeerrrrDdddhhhuuuuurrrrr~~!!
They have a secret special power..and that is to colour coordinate their clothes! And there was much yellow. Cool accessory you got there in your mouth, kenneth.
I thought who was so meticulous and great as to graffitee (if there's such a word) such an exact replica of borat onto this graffiti wall..then as I was wondering out loud, the rest informed me that it's just using a simple stencil.
Kenneth spotted a few stray ladies..
..massage ladies..anyone up for it?
They never fail to make my day..
Right, so that's that..and I'll be back with more pictures!!
P.S.
HUI JEEN!! HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY! Though I won't be here on sat to celebrate with the gang..but you know my heart and soul goes out to you! And we're going to have such a fab time when I return to an immediate Brad PITT MARATHON! Okay..don't start Troy without me hor!!
P.P.S.
Hubby!! I will bring back your present/s!
