Christmas came early!
Saturday, July 21, 2007

The night before, she tossed and turned, waiting for sleep to come. But she was just too excited, all she could think about was the next morning. Counting sheep didn't help (she was bad with numbers), neither did reading her beloved economic notes (which was odd considering it never fails to put her to a seemingly eternal sleep). All she could do was lay in her flowerprint, dreaming about the next day...

Morning came, and a beam of gentle sunlight shone through her windows, warming her toes. "Morning!" she thought to herself. The air was full of the smell of warm dry grass, and the only sound was that of the chirping of the pair of resident mynah birds. As she hurried to get up, the cold wind whipped her face and tingled as it pricked at her eyes. Her feet touched the floor, it was stinging cold. "This is odd." she thought again..And as she approach the windows, she could see layers and layers of translucent, pure white snow that covered everything her eyes laid on. Amazed, she whispered, "The first batch of fresh snow! Christmas!! YAY!! Snow on christmas!!"

She tore downstairs to check if Santa had delievered her present. Underneath the family's Christmas tree were several packs of gifts. She rammaged though the heap of present, while humming to the tune of 'Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer'. After a few seconds, she surfaced from the heap, panicking. Her present had not arrived. It must have gotten lost in Santa's sack somehow..As she plunged down in desperation to seive for her present again, the doorbell rang.

Flinging open the front door, she could not see anyone. She called out, but no one answered. Nothing was there..nothing, except the heavy package that sat at her front porch. A note was stuck to the package..it read,

"Dear debbie,
Santa was too busy, so he asked me to sent you this. Have a nice day!
Love, Mr Postman.
8:30 am
21/7/07"

"July? It's july now? Then how did the snow come?" she wondered out loud. But the moment she tore open the package to reveal her present, nothing else mattered anymore..

Okay, it's deb now..I got my book..I was so excited, I was bouncing around the postman just now..Haha, clearly, I was the most 'siao' person he has seen receiving the book!! YAYS!!

Oh, I meant to post about everything else in between my last post and this..But, I've got to finish the book first!!
